I've got some new pictures up...I'm not as happy with them as I am with my first set, but...ya know. Ansel Adams once said that if in a year, you end up with 12 photos you're truly proud of, you've got a good crop for the year. But still...I wish they would have come out a bit better. I suppose I still have the black and white film to develop, and maybe something better will come of those. I'm feeling a little creatively tapped, though. I think I need to take a break. I don't want a sabatical quite as long as my last one, but a break may be in order. At least on visual arts. I think I need to write again. That is, afterall, my first medium. I suppose it would help if I would read more. Reading has been kept to a relative minimum as of late due to a heavy work schedule and my driving desire to squeeze a social life into the cracks of life that aren't occupied by work or being exhausted from work.
Inspirational works of visual art have recently been "August Rush", "Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist", (I'm rather ashamed to admit this, but...ah well) "Twilight" (the books, the movie, and the soundtrack--which might just be the best part of the movie), The Ting Tings, and the recent stormy weather.




OH! And one last thing. Today is one year since my high school graduation. So much has changed, and yet so much remains the same; exactly a year ago, I became a long-haired redhead, was working for the bitch at Jamba Juice, was on the verge of moving out, and teetering between San Francisco and staying here. Today, I have short--still red--hair, work at evil Kmapart, live back at home, and am definitely staying here for the time being. Mental state can't even be discussed. Emotionally, I've changed so entirely much. Congrats to the class of 2009, and dear god, 08 grads, where did the effing time go?!
